Out with the old, in with the new. Mercury Glass replaces the Mason Jar. By Karma Flowers

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Oh the mason jar. The go-to vase for weddings of late, and the wedding budget's best friend. They have served us well. But, as all good things must come to end, so shall this formidable wedding trend.

Now I say that with a hint of sarcasm because I think know that mason jars will be around forever in some wedding decor capacity. They are too inexpensive, convenient and fun not to be. And I am ok with that. Heck, they have a southern charm about that them that works in so many design aesthetics, in so many different settings.

But as New York Weddings Magazine so thoughtfully pointed out in its latest edition, wedding budgets are getting a bit fatter again and the penny pinching mason jar is being replaced. . . with . . . . . . . . . .

Mercury Glass!

And we couldn't be more excited about it.

Either in gold or silver tones {or both} Mercury Glass is stunning on a tables, especially when candlelit. How will you incorporate this new trend into your next fiesta?
