Felipe proposed to Fernanda after a successful pilgrimage to Santiago the Compostela. Both natives of Brazilian, the couple, who met through mutual friends, now reside in New York City and decided to tie the knot in the Hamptons. The Surf Lodge was the perfect place to capture the free-spirited and fun-loving couple's laid-back beach vibe. We teamed up with Jewel from Jewel Georgieff Weddings and Events to pull off this stunner!
The Bride and Groom opted for a simple white and green palette for the flowers, as to not compete with the decor in The Surf Lodge itself. We brought in calla lilies {the bride's favorite since she was a child and we learned in Brazil the name for the calla lily translates to "a glass of milk"}, lemon leaf, eucalyptus, and other wildflower stems. The Bride's bouquet was a lush combination of lemon leaf, calla lily, and one white orchid at her request. The challenge was to create an organically hand-tied bouquet with flowers that typically factor into more modern decor- and it totally worked!
The Bride provided us with a picture of white urns she had taken on a recent trip to Italy and asked that we incorporate those into the design as well. We put a fresh, beach-appropriate spin on them and they were gorgeous.
We were honored to be a part of the Fernanda and Felipe's big day and we hear the celebration will be highlighted in a popular Brazilian magazine- we can't wait to see it!
